What a game this is on Friday night. An absolute blockbuster. Second vs first. I absolutely cannot wait to be at Elland Road for this.

Leeds are in remarkable form. They have stormed into second place off the back of eight straight wins, conceding just a goal in that run. And have the chance to turn the screw and try and make a bit of a break from Ipswich and Southampton below them.

Leicester manager Enzo Maresca stokes the fire ahead of their top-of-the-table clash against Leeds in the Championship on Friday night, saying the game is more important for their opponents

Leicester still have a big gap, but that could start to look a little smaller if they are beaten here. They lost to Leeds in the reverse fixture, and are coming off the back of defeat at home to Middlesbrough. Will they be feeling a bit nervy? They may if Leeds take an early lead, but I'll back a draw and a few goals here.

Hull are looking hot right now. They have some joyous attacking players in the likes of Jaden Philogene and Fabio Carvalho, and they showed against Southampton they are right up there with the best on their day. Sixth is their spot to lose at the minute.

They could even be looking a little higher, with West Brom a point and a place above them. It looks like Carlos Corberan recruited well in January, particularly bringing in Mikey Johnston from Celtic on loan. Things are looking up for the Baggies on and off the pitch, but I think they could be edged out here.

Ipswich vs Birmingham, Saturday 3pm

Ipswich are well and truly back. Three wins on the bounce have quietened down a lot of the doubters who thought they were going to slip away in the promotion race. Although they did make hard work of it against Rotherham in midweek!

Birmingham have climbed away from relegation danger, but will be without Tony Mowbray for the foreseeable. Whether that will damage their hopes significantly remains to be seen. Either way, I think the momentum with Ipswich right now means they'll have enough to win.

Prediction: 2-1 (Sky Bet odds)

QPR vs Rotherham, Saturday 3pm

QPR are on the cusp of climbing out of the bottom three again and this may be the day they finally do it, against a Rotherham side anchored to the bottom of the table.

It is five defeats on the bounce now for the Millers, who realistically know it will take something biblical for them to be anywhere but League One next season. But they showed at Ipswich in midweek they can still challenge, so QPR will be wary. It may be a bit tense, but I'll back a home win.

Prediction: 1-0 (Sky Bet odds)

Sheff Wed vs Bristol City, Saturday 3pm

Sheffield Wednesday are looking up again, after that brilliant win at Millwall last week blew open the relegation battle and gave them real hope of climbing out of the bottom three at some point.

Bristol City, meanwhile, saw their momentum halted. Nothing quite sums up the Championship like turning over Southampton and then losing at home to QPR in the space of four days. The play-offs may be beyond them this season, but Liam Manning will still want to build some momentum and positivity around the place. Despite that, I think Wednesday just need it a bit more and they could nick it.

Prediction: 2-1 (Sky Bet odds)

Southampton vs Millwall, Saturday 3pm

How quickly things can change in the Championship. Two defeats in the space of a week have left Southampton looking up at Leeds again in second. All the positivity of that record unbeaten run swept away.

Millwall have pressed the panic button in sacking Joe Edwards and bringing back Neil Harris. They were falling like a stone down the table and are at real risk of relegation so you can understand why. But I think Southampton back bounce here.

Prediction: 3-1 (Sky Bet odds)
