Revelo’s information has also been backed up by the very reliable Barcelona journalist, Gerard Romero.

Romero adds that Chelsea are indeed starting to make a strong push to sign Frenkie de Jong.

Man United have long been working on a deal for the 24-year-old and now face significant competition.

The Blues have been in talks with Barcelona regarding a deal for both Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta.

But now, they have made it clear to the Catalan club that they want de Jong and Barça’s interest in their Spanish duo could offer them a key advantage.

The west London club and Barcelona are now discussing deals for de Jong, Alonso and Azpilicueta.

Chelsea also interested in Dest

Chelsea have also expressed an interest in signing Sergiño Dest, as per Romero.

The right-back started just 23 times for Barça in all competitions last season.

The American would provide competition for Reece James if he was to head to Stamford Bridge.
