Lingard wants to stay

Jesse Lingard enjoyed a fruitful second half of the 2020/21 campaign.

In a bid to revive his career and get some much-needed minutes under his belt, Lingard would join West Ham on loan in January.

The 28-year-old went on to score nine and assist five in 16 league outings for the Hammers, playing a key role in them securing Europa League football.

Following the season coming to a close, it was claimed that West Ham were eyeing up a permanent move for Lingard.

This made sense for both parties, given how impressive he was for West Ham and how little game time Lingard had previously been afforded at West Ham.

But, even now Jadon Sancho has signed for the Red Devils, it is being reported that Lingard has told United he wants to stay at Old Trafford this season and fight for his place.

PSG & United ‘miles apart’ on Pogba valuation

PSG are the main side Paul Pogba has been linked with this year.

It had previously been reported that the Red Devils are willing to part ways with the Frenchman for the correct fee, with those in a position of power in Manchester understood to have agreed on a 51 million pound asking price for the midfielder.

However, it appears as though PSG are not coming close to matching what Man United want.

A fresh report from the Mirror claims that:

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are miles apart in their valuation of Paul Pogba this summer transfer window.

Lukaku windfall incoming?

Elsewhere, Man United could be set for a small windfall courtesy of Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian was sold to Inter Milan by United in 2019, with the Telegraph claiming that the Manchester outfit interested a clause that entitles them to four or five per cent of any future sale fee.

And with the same report claiming Inter want 100 million pounds to part with the Chelsea-linked star this summer, United could be due around four to five million pounds should a sale indeed happen.
