After a convincing victory in midweek, will the United States make it two wins out of two in friendlies this month?

On Wednesday night, the U.S. welcomed African heavyweights Morocco to Cincinnati and ran out 3-0 winners.

The opening goal came mid-way through the first half when Christian Pulisic burst through, before putting it on a plate for Brendan Aaronson.

Timo Weah then doubled their lead with a long-range strike with Haji Wright, mere moments into his debut, firing home a spot-kick.

Gregg Berhalter tweaked his shape a little, deploying a somewhat-experimental line-up, but was rewarded with an excellent victory.

The Stars and Stripes face a pair of CONCACAF Nations League games after this one, hosting Grenada before visiting El Salvador.

So, in their toughest test of this four-game window, will USA claim another moral-boosting victory in Kansas?

As for Uruguay, having already beaten a CONCACAF heavyweight this week, can they complete the double?

On Thursday night, down in Arizona, la Celeste swatted aside Mexico 3-0 in the first of their three games this month.

Matías Vecino opened the scoring, before a quick-fire Edinson Cavani brace secured a comprehensive victory at State Farm Stadium.

This means Diego Alonso’s side have now won five consecutive matches, ending World Cup qualifying with four wins out of four.

The 1930 and 1950 World Champions last won six successive fixtures in 2018, going into the last World Cup, at which they reached the quarter-finals.

Will the U.S. claim a big scalp at Children’s Mercy Park or will Uruguay be too strong?

Argentina vs Estonia

Argentina’s unbeaten run continues and they come into this friendly having picked up some more silverware.

On Wednesday night, la Albiceleste swatted aside Italy 3-0 in the Finalísima, completing outclassing the European champions.

Lautaro Martínez broke the deadlock, expertly set up by Lionel Messi, before Ángel Di María doubled their lead with a deft dink.

Paulo Dybala then came off the bench to rubber stamp the emphatic victory as Argentina lifted a trophy and sent out a warning to all their rivals.

Lionel Scaloni’s side have won two trophies in the last year, beating Brazil to last summer’s Copa América, despite losing in seven successive finals before this.

Now, against much lower-calibre European opposition, will la Albiceleste extend their unbeaten streak to 33 match at El Sadar?

In stark contrast to their illustrious hosts, Estonia were in action in the UEFA Nations League’s bottom-tier on Thursday, facing San Marino.

The Blueshirts did come out on top against the world’s lowest-ranked side with Robert Kirss and Joonas Tamm scoring at A. Le Coq Arena.

Back in March, Estonia were relegated to Nations League D, suffering a two-legged play-out defeat to Cyprus.

So, given that they’re in a group with Malta and San Marino, promotion is the minimum expectation for Thomas Häberli’s team.

Here though, in a glamour fixture for Estonia in Pamplona, Argentina should cruise to victory.

Mexico vs Ecuador

It’s been a mixed international window for Mexico, so which way will this one go in Chicago?

First, el Tri beat Nigeria 2-1 in Arlington with Santiago Giménez on target.

But then, on Thursday night, Tata Martino’s men were simply out-played in Glendale, going down 3-0 against Uruguay.

After this friendly, Mexico conclude the month with two Nations League fixtures against Suriname in Torreón and Jamaica in Kingston.

All of this, of course, is in preparation for the World Cup, at which el Tri will take on Poland, Argentina and Saudi Arabia.

If they’re to claim that illusive quinto partido, Mexico quite simply need to raise their game.

Ecuador meanwhile will also be in Qatar in November after surprisingly finishing third in the CONMEBOL qualifying table.

La Tricolor will kick off against the hosts before facing Senegal and Netherlands in much tougher assignments this winter.

Gustavo Alfaro’s side began their preparations on Thursday, beating Nigeria 1-0 in New Jersey thanks to Pervis Estupiñán’s early goal.

Their third and final fixture of the month is against Cape Verde in Fort Lauderdale next Sunday.

This is an intriguing match-up so will there be a winner at Soldier Field?

Canada vs Panama

Sunday’s international friendly betting tips: Previews, predictions and odds

Canada’s World Cup preparations ramp out with a friendly in Vancouver.

Les Rouges were supposed to be facing fellow World Cup participants IR Iran in this one, but the match was cancelled for geo-political reasons.

So, at extremely short notice, Panama have stepped in, meaning the two will meet again after their qualification encounters in October and March.

This year, Canada will appear at a World Cup for the first time since 1986, the only side who’ve qualified, to date, who weren’t at Brazil 2014 and/or Russia 2018.

John Herdman’s side are in Group F, alongside Croatia, Belgium and Morocco, so it certainly will not be easy for them.

After this game, they conclude the June window with a pair of Nations League fixtures against Curaçao at home and then in Honduras.

Given that the Maple Leafs are unbeaten in 14 internationals on home soil, dating back to March 2016, they’ll be confident of winning this one.

Panama meanwhile commenced their own CONCACAF Nations League campaign on Thursday with a statement victory.

Ismael Díaz and Cecilio Waterman were on target in a 2-0 victory over group favourites Costa Rica at Estadio Olímpico Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez.

Los Canaleros will be in action in that competition twice more this month, facing Martinique in a double-header starting on Thursday.

They made their World Cup debut in 2018 but narrowly missed out this time round, finishing fifth in the Octagonal.

So, a home win looks likely at BC Place.

Saudi Arabia vs Colombia

Sunday’s international friendly betting tips: Previews, predictions and odds

Having missed out on World Cup 2022, Colombia’s attention now turns towards Copa América 2024.

Los Cafeteros finished sixth in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying, one point below Peru who took the inter-confederation play-offs place.

Thus, they will not feature in Qatar later this year, despite featuring at back-to-back World Cups before this.

With Reinaldo Rueda having left his position, Héctor Cárdenas remains in caretaker for this friendly and a home match with El Salvador next week.

Saudi Arabia meanwhile are preparing for a World Cup having qualified six of the last eight editions.

The Green Falcons topped their Asian qualifying group, winning seven of ten matches, their only defeat coming in Saitama against Japan in February.

Hervé Renard’s side are in a group alongside Argentina, Poland and Mexico, so are massive underdogs to reach the round of 16.

Thus, their friendlies this month, all in Murcia against Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador are vital preparation.

Will Saudi Arabia be far more motivated than their despondent and depleted opponents at Estadio Nueva Condomina?

Peru vs New Zealand

Sunday’s international friendly betting tips: Previews, predictions and odds

Despite the fact this is a friendly match, it has an inter-confederation theme to it.

Five years ago, the two met in an inter-continental play-off with Peru prevailing 2-0 on aggregate, thereby qualifying for Russia 2018.

This time, the two meet in a friendly in Catalonia, again with inter-confederation play-offs to prepare for, but not against one-another.

Peru once again finished fifth in CONMEBOL qualifying, pipping Colombia and Chile to that all-important spot on the final day in March.

So, in eight days time, Ricardo Gareca’s team will take on Australia or the United Arab Emirates in Al-Rayyan with the winners qualifying.

24 hours later, also at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, New Zealand will take on Costa Rica in their own inter-confederation play-off tie.

The All Whites have qualified for two World Cups to date, namely Spain ’82 and South Africa 2010, beating China and Bahrain in play-offs respectively.

Since the latter, they’ve suffered back-to-back play-off heartbreak at the hands of Mexico and then, as mentioned, Peru.

Will there be a winner in this friendly at RCDE Stadium?
