Wolves dealt alarming injury blow during Besiktas clash23 July 2022
Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have, on Saturday, been dealt a concerning blow on the personnel front.
Bruno Lage’s men are currently locked in action, in the Spanish town of La Nucia.
Amid their ongoing preparations for the new season, the English midlands outfit are going head-to-head with Turkish giants Besiktas, eyeing a bounce-back result on the back of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Levante last time out.
And, with 45 minutes on the clock in the southeast of Spain, to say that Wolves look on their way to precisely that would be putting it lightly.
This comes with goals on the part of all of Raul Jimenez, Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto having guided Lage’s troops into a comfortable 3-0 advantage.

As alluded to above, though, Wolves’ fine evening’s work to date has unfortunately been soured altogether considerably by a blow on the personnel front.
The player to have been forced into a premature departure from the action? Raul Jimenez.
Late in the first-half of action, after opening the game’s scoring, Mexican international Jimenez pulled up with what appeared to be a groin problem, before quickly being replaced by Leander Dendoncker.
It now remains to be seen whether Wolves’ star striker faces any kind of significant time out of action, ahead of a nervy wait for all associated with the club.
