Morgan Whittaker: Burnley make second offer for Plymouth winger

The winger, who started his career at Derby, signed from Swansea last summer and opened his account for this campaign in the 1-1 draw at QPR last weekend.

Speaking before the second bid was made, Plymouth manager Wayne Rooney called the first offer “laughable”.

“We received a bid and it was absolutely miles away from what we would even consider, it was laughable really,” Rooney said.

“If a club really wants a player they would try and sort it early because any bids we receive now, even if they pay the money it makes it difficult for us to replace [Morgan].”
