Steven Alzate: Hull sign free-agent former Brighton midfielder

Hull City have signed former Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Steven Alzate on a two-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months.

The Colombian was a free agent, having been released by The Seagulls after making 51 appearances, 43 of them in the Premier League.

Alzate began his career at Leyton Orient before joining Brighton, and has also had loan spells at Swindon Town and Standard Liege.

“Speaking to the directors, the ambition of the club was why I decided to join,” the 26-year-old said.
