Andre Gray: Plymouth Argyle sign free-agent striker on short-term deal

He scored 25 goals when Burnley won the Championship in 2016 and was sold to Watford for a then-club record fee believed to be around £18.5m in August 2017.

He had a spell at Greek side Aris Salonika before moving to Saudi Arabia last year.

“Once we knew the severity of Muhamed’s injury, we moved quickly to bring in a striker to replace him,” Argyle head coach Wayne Rooney told the club website., external

“Andre is a striker of real quality and has played and scored goals at the highest level.

“He will provide competition in forward areas as we head into a busy period of the season, and I am really happy to have him here.”
