Mark Robins: Stoke manager says he wants to give ‘time’ for his search for a new assistant

The positive news for Stoke has been a move into “awesome” new facilities at their Clayton Wood training ground.

Robins will hope the £10 million investment by chairman John Coates can have a impact on the club’s growing injury list, with defender Bosun Lawal, goalkeeper Viktor Johansson and forward Divin Mubama among those currently sidelined.

“It is awesome,” he said. “But it comes with strings attached. The investment has been made to try and take us to another level. It is an elite building. It will attract players, no doubt about it.

“You can see the investment John Coates has made is hugely significant. And we’ve got to make sure that his dreams, our dreams, are all fulfilled.”
