Derby County have signed midfielder Alex Mowatt from West Bromwich Albion on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old’s move to the the Rams comes just two days after their Championship rivals rejected an initial bid.
Former Leeds United and Barnsley man Mowatt had a year remaining on his existing deal with the Baggies, where he had been since the summer of 2021.

West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of midfielder Rabby Nzingoula from Ligue 1 side Strasbourg for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old has agreed a three-year contract and becomes the club’s seventh signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Matt Ingram, Conor Townsend, Nolan Galves, Felix Horn Myhre, Barney Stewart and Jimmy-Jay Morgan.

The 22-year-old joins the Baggies on a four-year contract and becomes head coach James Morrison’s first new recruit of the summer.
Stewart made his first-team debut for Falkirk in January 2025 and played 15 times as the club won promotion from the second tier to the Scottish Premiership.
