Millwall 3-0 Norwich City: Lions cruise past 10-man Canaries

By Total Football News

There were emotional scenes pre-match as Millwall remembered former manager Kenny Jackett, who died in June, with a minute’s applause before kick-off.

The Lions started strongest – and never really looked back after Arconte opened the scoring. Indeed, their lead should have been greater at the break but for Cordoba hacking Kyrell Lisbie’s effort off the line just before half-time.

Millwall’s attacking adventurousness was on full display despite the absence

By Total Football News

The Foxes had the first real attempt on goal as Harry Winks’s 25-yard strike almost took Vladan Kovacevic by surprise, but Leicester’s persistent defensive frailties were clearly evident as the game progressed.

Mathias Kvistgaarden was left unmarked to head into the side netting and then the Foxes centre-backs parted invitingly for Paris Maghoma to stride down the centre of the field and bring a fine save from Stolarczyk.

Norwich City 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday: Canaries beat relegated Owls

Kvistgaarden was his replacement and soon fired a left-foot effort into the net from Kenny McLean’s perfectly-weighted through ball, but he had started his run fractionally early and it was ruled offside.

The Dane was not to be denied, however, and after Seny Dieng kept out Ali Ahmed’s point-blank effort following a good move down the right, Kvistgaarden headed the loose ball against the bar before finally nodding the rebound
