Millwall captain Jake Cooper has signed a new contract keeping him at the Championship side until the summer of 2027.

The 30-year-old centre-back has played 411 times and is two games away from becoming equal fifth on the Lions’ list of all-time appearance-makers.

Sheffield Wednesday have signed former Leeds United defender Liam Cooper on a deal until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old Scotland international was a free agent after leaving Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia in July.
