Arsenal injury news: Kai Havertz injured hamstring blocking shot in training – Mikel Arteta
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says Kai Havertz’s “unexpected” season-ending injury came when the striker blocked a shot during training.
The Germany forward will miss the remainder of the campaign after sustaining a hamstring injury during a winter training break in Dubai.
Havertz will have surgery on the issue and is not expected to return until pre-season.

Liam Manning: Bristol City injured players back in training says manager
Bristol City’s squad have had a boost with injured right-back George Tanner back in full training before the busy festive period.
Tanner has not played since the start of November, while full-back Ross McCrorie is also nearing his return having not played since October because of a hamstring injury.
Scott Twine, who played 31 minutes in Saturday’s draw against QPR after returning from an injury, has also been “building up”.

Alisson: Liverpool goalkeeper set for at least one month out injured
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is expected to be out until at least mid-November with a hamstring injury.
The Brazil international was hurt in the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday and was replaced by Vitezslav Jaros after 79 minutes.
Liverpool do not expect Alisson to be back before the next international break, which takes place 11-19 November following a round of league games.
