Sheffield United have signed Rangers midfielder Joe Rothwell for an undisclosed fee on an 18-month deal and Sunderland defender Leo Hjelde on loan for the rest of the season.
Rothwell, 31, joined Rangers in the summer from Bournemouth but has featured just once since October.
Hjelde, 22, has not played competitively since coming on as a sub in the Black Cats win over the Blades in last May’s Championship play-off

Leeds United have signed Bournemouth midfielder Joe Rothwell on a season-long loan deal.
The 29-year-old ended last season on loan in the second tier with Southampton, as the Saints beat the Whites in the Championship play-off final.
