Justin James (Leicester City): I don’t remember him having much to do defensively, with all the troubles coming down Arsenal’s right. He then popped in the second half with a decent header for his first goal, while the volley he hit to equalise was unbelievable. So much could’ve gone wrong with that but the technique was excellent.

Micky van de Ven (Tottenham Hotspur): This is the second time he’s been

Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace: A week of hope for Toffees on and off pitch

By Total Football News

Everton moved out of the bottom three for the first time this season, having thrown away the lead in their past three games.

They were 2-0 up against both Bournemouth and Aston Villa, before being beaten 3-2 both times, while they were held to a 1-1 draw at promoted Leicester last Saturday.

But this result against Palace – and the return of star defender Jarrad Branthwaite – will provide hope

Bukayo Saka (captain), Arsenal, midfielder, £10m – home to Leicester City

This man is about as reliable as they come in FPL. A return every game so far but still feels like he has yet to hit top form.

Why captain Saka over Haaland? This is a tricky call and it’s fine to play things safer with Manchester City’s star man.

Saka, who scored 16 goals last season, is an

EFL: What to look out for this week – West Brom, MK Dons, Barrow

You know what we were saying about summer turning to autumn? Well there are still six EFL sides looking for a first win and five of them have a last chance to break their duck before October.

But for conceding last-minute goals at Middlesbrough and Burnley, Portsmouth would already have their first Championship win since April 2012, so a home game with unbeaten Sheffield United might be a good time

Emi Martinez, Aston Villa, keeper, £5m – home to Wolves

Clean sheets have been so hard to predict this season.

Gameweek four saw six of them from the 10 games, which means we’ve had 18 in 40 games – or clean sheets for 18 teams from a potential 80!

There’s no standout keeper this week but Martinez has been a big-game performer in the past and derby games can be

Axel Tuanzebe (Ipswich): He absolutely dealt with Kaoru Mitoma. He is obviously really good – excellent defending and he did well going forward. He contributed to another clean sheet for Ipswich on the road.

Matthijs de Ligt (Manchester United): He struggled at the start, got found out in one-on-one situations with Kyle Walker-Peters and got sent to the shops. But his goal sent United on their way, plus another clean

Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United, midfielder, £8.4m – away at Southampton

The underlying statistics are screaming out for us to pick Fernandes this week.

The Manchester United talisman has been unlucky to have no returns so far this season.

His xGI is two, he has had eight shots (Salah has had just nine and scored three times), four in the box and two big chances.

Couple that with Southampton’s defence, which

Noni Madueke (Chelsea): Everything he did was positive moving forward, and obviously the hat-trick always helps, but he could have had five or six on another day.

Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City): There are not enough words. He is just the best player. He is the best midfielder in his position and he was unbelievable again, he got Manchester City going against Ipswich. It looks like he is enjoying himself
