Harry – TFN’s New MCFC Match Reporter

13 June 2024 0 By Harry

My name is Harry, TFN’s New MCFC Match Reporter! I am writing this article today to introduce myself to you, the readers.

Who Do I Support?

I’m proud to be an MCFC Season Ticket Holder in the Family Stand at the Etihad, having supported the club since I was 10. My first ever City game was our home game against Steaua Bucharest in a UCL Qualifier back in 2016, and I’ve been a blue ever since. I have gone on to attend over 90 MCFC games since 2019, including the inaugural final day game against Villa.

Some readers may also know me from my Bodicote Blues On Tour Flags. I take at least one with me to all away fixtures I attend, along with some home games. This idea started in 2021, where I decided I would design my own flag to take to games, whilst promoting my local area. This combined with my fascination with fan flags at football and beyond to make it a natural project for me.

How Else Am I Involved In The Beautiful Game?

In addition, I’m also a registered FA Level 6 Referee, having taken the course back in 2022. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to be an assistant referee in a County Cup Final, and a referee of a League Trophy Final, alongside getting promoted to Level 6 during the 2023/24 season. I’ve officiated in over 80 games so far, and I have no intention in stopping anytime soon! I’ve previously officiated in the Under-19’s National League, in addition to Step 5 and Step 6 of the NLS.

I play for my local inclusive football team. We managed to survive relegation last season having been promoted 2 divisions, and we are all looking forward to the challenges and successes that next season will throw at us.

I have a keen interest in producing content like match reports, being the Webmaster for my local MCFC Supporters Club. I’m looking forward to writing my first match report for TFN soon, as City head to the States to prepare for the 24/25 season. My first report will be from City’s game vs Celtic on the 23rd of July at 19:30 EDT!
