West Brom boss Tony Mowbray told BBC WM:

“We’re left frustrated at the end I think.

“Ultimately we paid the price for only being 1-0 up. We’ve got to be more ruthless. We had 16 shots today and only three on target. The percentage is not good enough.

“It’s been difficult to do the work on the training ground, particularly this week with three games, and I think in the international break there’s some scope to work on getting more end product from our possession and play in the final third.

“It’s a disappointed dressing room and I think rightly so.

“We knew Hull would be a team that play on the front foot and be aggressive – when you look at where they are in the table they’re better than that.”

Hull City boss Ruben Selles told BBC Radio Humberside:

“West Brom are a really good team and a really tough opponent and I think we were as competitive as them today.

“They were more in control in the first half and we were suffering in some defensive moments but we came back in the second half even though we conceded a goal and we ended the game creating chances.

“I think it was a fair point. We could have lost it but we could have won it. We’ll take the point and move forward.

“The substitutions gave us something different. The squad wants to work together and everyone is giving everything.”
